Mario Ruiz

Born in 1965 in Alicante, Mario Ruiz graduated in Industrial Design at Elisava, the prestigious School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona. He began his professional career in 1995 with the opening of his own studio in Barcelona.

His multidisciplinary skills and experience in various fields have allowed him to gain the trust of more than 120 leading companies worldwide. For some of these companies, he not only develops projects directly related to their products in different areas, but also acts as creative director defining their product.

Mario Ruiz's work has been exhibited at fairs in Europe, the United States and Japan and has been recognized with more than 40 important awards.

Between 1992 and 2002, he was a professor of Industrial Projects at the Eina and Elisava design schools in Barcelona. He has also given numerous lectures in Tokyo, Singapore, New York, Dubai, London and Chicago. He was a member of the ADI-FAG board between 1999 and 2001 and a monograph on his work was published in 2004.
